A comprehensive rehabilitation agency for the blind and visually impaired
Service Area: Southeast Georgia (29 counties)
Location: Beautiful Historic Savannah on the River - Savannah, Georgia
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide leadership in coordinating client training in activities of daily living, communication skills, orientation, mobility, and low vision services to give clients independence
Must provide visionary leadership to re-create an innovative service paradigm for a nonprofit agency
Must create a client atmosphere for independent living and vocational oriented services
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Five years administrative experience in the area of blind rehabilitation or at an agency for the visually impaired
Proven experience in financial development and related activities, including significant involvement in at least one major capital campaign
A clear understanding of financial management and operations as they relate to non-profit organizations
Articulate, poised, open, a good sense of humor, and the ability to relate well to diverse constituencies
Experience in working closely with a volunteer board
Preferred Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or field of rehabilitation
More than eight years non-profit senior management experience
Working knowledge of Savannah and Georgia political and fund-raising arenas
Benefits: Full benefit package; Vacation
Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000, based on experience.
