SAB offers programs and services that promote independence and dignity for people who are vision impaired or blind, their family, friends and the community.

Coastal Low Vision Services

The low vision clinic provides assessments, recommendations and training so that you can use your remaining vision most effectively.  While we can make no promises, over ninety percent of people going through the clinic are able to improve the functional use of their vision.

Activities of Daily Living

Learn to manage home and personal responsibilities effectively and safely regardless of how much vision you may have.

Braille and Communications

Learn raille and other communication skills for personal, business and education activities.

Orientation and Mobility

Learn to go where you need to when you want to safely and with confidence.  Whether it is out to the mail box or across the country, orientation and mobility training teaches the skills necessary to travel independently.

Technology

Skillful use of computers and other technologies is essential in personal, professional and educational activities, opening opportunities for learning, employment and leisure.

SAB offers a program of services specifically designed to meet the needs of people over fifty-five.  We can help you increase your quality of life and independence.
